Biography
Irene Unceta obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from the University of Barcelona
in 2012 and graduated from the MSc in Computational Science from the University of
Amsterdam in 2021. She obtained her Industrial PhD from the University of Barcelona
and BBVA Data & Analytics for a work on adaptation of machine learning systems
in company production environments.Equal parts a Social Scientist and a Data Scientist,
her professional career has been a journey through the intersection of both worlds,
with a main focus on the social impact on automated decision making systems, in terms
of transparency, fairness and accountability.
