Learning methodology

Know what you do and do what you know

New challenges demand new thinking. New technologies require new ideas and new learning needs to keep up with change. At ESADE our highly-personalised approach to learning takes on many forms, adopts different methods and offers a variety of tools. All of this is needed for us to educate and for you to compete in this intense, knowledge-based society. However, beyond the tools and the systems we have another task to fulfil.

By choosing ESADE you will have shown us your appetite for learning. Our task is to arouse your curiosity about change and teach you what we consider the best way to improve this ever-changing world. Your ambition is the key to making this happen.

ESADE's multifaceted approach to educating you starts as follows:

The Pillars of Learning at ESADE

  • Active Classes. ESADE’s culturally diverse classrooms tend to breed vibrant discussion. Classes led by one or several professors deal with and discuss complex management issues in a stimulating environment. Here students not only learn from each other, but also off each other.
  • Real-life Case Studies. Real problems of real companies and real-life solutions; we analyse and debate them.
  • Management Simulations. Computer-generated management simulations show you the process and impact of decision-making on an organisation.
  • Skill Seminars. Small groups discuss management skills and development of competencies.

  • Company Internships. Immersed in an intense three-month in-company experience, you put your skills to the test.

  • Research Projects. Study your own chosen topic in depth, learn how to manage information sources and defend the results in front of your professors.

  • Business Creation Projects. Develop entrepreneurial talents you never knew you had (or improve existing ones!) through individual or team projects.
