The Esade Bachelor in Law provides you the opportunity to study abroad at an international university: You’ll spend a semester studying at one of the most prestigious law schools around the world with which Esade has collaboration agreements.
You can also choose to study at the Center for Transnational Legal Studies in London, a centre specializing in transnational Law and led by Georgetown University.
The semester-long exchange program is optional, but it is such an enriching experience that 75% of our students participate every year.

The International Fair is a great chance for students to know the options that Esade offers to them about the Exchange program, a compulsory part of the program.
Esade is one of the institutions included within Universitat Ramon Llull which has been awarded the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE). Esade also participates in the Erasmus+ mobility programme to foment learning, cooperation with innovation efforts and the exchange of best practices.
Study at the Center for Transnational Legal Studies (CTLS) in London
CTLS is an innovative centre specialiZing in Transnational Law, led by Georgetown University and created by the ten best law schools around the world. Esade is the only university in Spain included within CTLS and, consequently, it is the only one that can offer you this experience.
What will you study at CTLS in London?
- Intensive seminar on Comparative and/or Transnational Law, focused on an important current issue.
- Compulsory Transnational Legal Theory.
- Electives chosen from a wide array of options: Comparative Human Rights, Transnational Corporate Governance, Comparative and Transnational Constitutional Law, International Criminal Law and Comparative Civil Procedure and Dispute Resolution, amongst others.
- You’ll also have the option of attending weekly Transnational Law Colloquiums focused on current topics of international interest for Comparative and/or Transnational Law.

Alternative to the exchange program: Studying electives at Esade
As mentioned, the semester-long exchange programme is optional. If you like, you can opt to stay at Esade and take electives alongside students from more than 26 different countries who choose our university every year to do their exchange programmes, making our campus decidedly international.
Electives are taught entirely in English and feature international content, helping you to round out your transnational education and master English. 25% of Esade Bachelor in Law students choose this option every year.
