International Immersion Week: Dubai
April 2022
“After a year filled with challenges in Barcelona and throughout Europe, it was great to join Esade’s MBA International Immersion Week in Dubai. We came to know a different side of the world, their businesses and cultures, and alumni experiences.”
“Esade’s MBA International Immersion Week in Dubai was such an amazing experience, for most of us it was our first time ever being in Dubai. Visiting different businesses in the region we have learned new business models and opened our minds to different working possibilities.”
“It was a pleasure to be part of Esade’s MBA International Immersion Week. It has helped us get more connected, explore opportunities, and even understand more about different countries from the World EXPO2020.”
Berlin study trip – Exploring the new venture and high growth horizon
50 Esade MBA students.
17 startups and venture capital companies.
5 days of excitement.
Invaluable learnings.
The Esade MBA Berlin Immersion Week focuses on Entrepreneurship. We don't put students sitting in a university classroom, but keep them moving from one company’s office to another.
Inside the Immersion Week
In late June 2022, Esade Full Time MBA participants traveled to Berlin, Germany for the International Immersion Week.
Here’s what happened, from the POV of the people who went…
Monday
“We visited two incredible startups. The first was FoundersLane, a corporate venture builder with a heavy presence in Europe and the Middle East. The second visit was the global early-stage VC Antler, where we heard a presentation from one of our own, an Esade alumnus!
To end the evening and celebrate the start of the trip, we enjoyed a traditional German meal as a welcome dinner."
Tuesday
“We went to a coworking space with a casual beer garden to meet two startups, Construyo (a project management service that connects the architecture, engineering, and construction industry) and Atlantic Labs (an early-stage venture capital investment firm).
Later, we met up with the Berlin Alumni Chapter in Tiergarten for an evening of networking and socializing, when the chapter members could catch up with their former professors!"
Wednesday
“Visits to two more exciting startups: Antheneum Company (which operates a Research as a Service (RaaS) product model) and YPOG (a law firm for startup investors and co-founders).
Later in the afternoon we went on a river cruise to see Berlin from a new perspective.”
Thursday
“Busy day! In the morning we visited i2x (an AI voice software company), and toured the company offices of AI venture studio Merantix where we saw robots prepare our lunches!
Then in the afternoon we split up into two groups, one visiting digital health platform Fertillly and the other going to the experience production company Realtainment - ArtNight.”
Friday
“After our final presentations, we finished the study tour with a traditional Bavarian lunch at Maximilians restaurant.”
Career Treks
MBA student clubs organize treks to world-leading businesses both in Barcelona, in Spain, and overseas. Clubs are established around business functions (operations, finance, etc.), and/or industries (health care, sports, etc.), and cities chosen are hubs for each specific area of interest. These MBA trips allow you to explore professional opportunities, meet local Esade alumni, and grow your network.
