One of the most important decisions candidates will have to make during the Executive Masters programme is setting future career goals. Career Services has developed tools and activities to help students identify professional objectives and design action plans to meet them.
Career Services offers the following support to ensure that Executive Masters participants acquire lasting skills to effectively manage their careers over both the short and long terms:
Employer Relations
With 1,500 companies from around the world recruiting at ESADE, Career Services is in constant contact with the international business community, nurturing and developing new relationships.
Participants on the Executive Masters programmes will be given access to a comprehensive career management portal, including a job bank which published over 4,000 offers in 2005. To facilitate the job search process, students can search for available positions online or have vacancies sent to them directly by e-mail.
Advice & Guidance
An effective career search has clear goals, which are implemented early following a precise action plan. Career Services will work closely with candidates to facilitate the setting of professional objectives and the formulation of a strategy to meet them.
Seminars
A series of career development seminars and workshops hosted by market experts will be available to students throughout the Executive Masters programme. These events provide insights into successful CV writing, interviewing techniques and job negotiation, as well as other relevant subjects such as recruiting trends and sector overviews.
The Career Resource Centre (CRC)
Providing a variety of tools to assist Executive Masters participants manage their short and long term careers, the CRC plays a central role in the job search process. With leading, up-to-date resources, the CRC helps candidates identify and prepare to capitalise on worthwhile opportunities.
The CRC continues to grow and to date houses the following resources:
Databases to perform industry research
Trade directories to find specific company information, including Bloomberg
Company archives including annual reports and company brochures
An extensive library covering all career development aspects
Business-specific and job market-related press and magazines
Vault and WetFeet Guides
Resources for working abroad, including work permit information
In addition, the CRC is available on-line through the MBA student portal, which enables students to efficiently manage their job search and applications. Through the portal, students can access job offers as well as many of the CRC�s career development resources.
