Biografia
La professora Namrata Goyal va completar una beca postdoctoral a la Columbia Business School després de doctorar-se en Psicologia Social per la New School for Research de Nova York. És graduada cum laude en Psicologia i Estudis de la Comunicació per la York University de Toronto.
Els seus interessos investigadors se centren en tres àmbits: les normes socials, la cultura i la presa de decisions i judicis. Concretament, investiga com les normes socials configuren les memòries, les conseqüències positives i negatives de trencar les normes socials i com afecten les creences en el karma en les conductes antisocials p. ex., la venjança i prosocial p. ex., l'ajuda.
Les seves recerques s'han publicat en nombroses revistes acadèmiques, com el Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Perspectives in Psychological Science, el Journal of Cross-Cultural Psychology, Developmental Psychology i la Developmental Review, i s'han presentat en mitjans tan populars com la BBC.
