Biography
Between January 1982 and September 1987, she worked as Assistant Lecturer at the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC). She was awarded a PhD in Mathematics from UPC for a dissertation related to Qualitative Reasoning Modelization. She is the coordinator of the GREC-ESADE Research Group on Engineering Knowledge and an active member of ARCA (Qualitative Reasoning Automatization and Applications).
From 1998 to 2001, she was on the Executive Committee of LEA-SICA (European Associate Laboratory on Intelligent Systems and Advanced Control). Since 2000, she has been a member of the MONET European Network of Excellence on Model-based Systems and Qualitative Reasoning. In October 2006 she was appointed President of the Catalan Association for Artificial Intelligence (ACIA).
She is a member of the programme committee for several international conferences and chaired the 18th Workshop on Qualitative Reasoning held in Barcelona in 2002. Since October 2004, she has been editor of the ACIA Bulletin. She is currently the principal coordinator of several projects related to the application of artificial intelligence to Business, Marketing and Finance, funded by public institutions and private organizations.
She has been Professor at ESADE since 1990.
