Log in to Mendeley through this link to create a new institutional account (Mendeley Institutional Edition – MIE) or to upgrade your existing free account to the institutional edition.
Install Mendeley Desktop: Use Mendeley Desktop to create and organize your reference collection and documents.
You will be able to drag PDF files to Mendeley Desktop, and to add automatically the bibliographic  references, to mark them, and to add annotations to the PDF files while reading them, as well as to share them privately with your colleagues.
Install Mendeley Web Importer.
This tool will allow you to import bibliographic reference to Mendeley, as well as the documents found during your research activity through catalogs and databases.
Install MS Word Plug In.
This tool will allow you to insert your bibliographic references in a text document and create your bibliography automatically with any style.
