Biography
Giulia Redigolo is Assistant Professor of Accounting at ESADE Business School Barcelona,
Spain. She obtained a Summa Cum Laude Master's Degree in Economics and Management
and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Ca' Foscari University of
Venice Italy. She earned a Ph.D. in Business Administration with an accounting concentration
from the Graduate School of Economics and Management at the University of Padua and
Venice Italy. During her Ph.D. Giulia spent one and a half year as Research Scholar
at Georgia State University USA and, later on, at Emory University USA. In 2015 and
2016, she was a visiting postdoctoral Researcher at Columbia University in the City
of New York USA.Before joining ESADE, Giulia was a postdoctoral Researcher at the
University of Padua Italy and held a visiting postdoc position at Emory University,
Goizueta Business School USA.Giulia's research focuses on Corporate Disclosure, Earnings
Guidance, Social Media and Capital Markets. Her current research works examine the
mechanisms that underpin firms' voluntary disclosure decisions, and the implications
for accounting information users and financial analysts. She also studies whether
and how the dissemination of information on social media e.g., Twitter affects price
formation in the capital market. Giulia is an active member of the American Accounting
Association AAA and the European Accounting Association EAA. She is Ad Hoc Reviewer
for the American Accounting Association Annual Meeting, the Spanish Journal of Finance
and Accounting, the Managerial Auditing Journal and the Journal of Management and
Governance. Giulia has been teaching 'Financial Accounting' and 'Financial Statement
Analysis and Security Valuation' at the undergraduate and graduate levels. She currently
teaches 'Financial Analysis' to BBA students.
