Prof. David Vegara is lecturer in the Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting.

In addition to his recent stint as Deputy Managing Director of the European Stability Mechanism (ESM), David Vegara has extensive professional experience, including time at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and in the Spanish government, where he was State Secretary for Economic Affairs for five years. He holds an undergraduate degree in economics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and a Master of Science from the London School of Economics.
In 2007, he was named a Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Previously, he worked in the research department of Banc Sabadell and was Chairman of InterMoney for seven years.

Prof. Vegara teaches on various ESADE programmes in the fields of economics and international finance on the institution¿s campus in Madrid. He also joins ESADEgeo.
