Biography
Angelo Romasanta is a postdoctoral researcher in innovation management involved in two large European projects coordinated by CERN. The first project ATTRACT attract-eu.com is a ~50M EUR initiative aiming to commercialize technologies by the largest research infrastructures in Europe. The second one is the Science Mesh sciencemesh.io which aims to connect the various cloud services across Europe to facilitate international collaborations. He is also involved as the Head of Research at Embiggen Consulting, an innovation consulting firm for emerging markets.He finished his PhD in Innovation Management as cum laude at the Science, Business and Innovation department at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He was a Marie Curie fellow in the European project FragNet, where he explored the adoption and commercialization of new technologies in the pharmaceutical industry. He initiated collaborations with various big pharma, biotechs and academic research groups. He was also a coordinator of ULLA, a consortium of pharmaceutical science faculties across Europe. He graduated from the Erasmus Mundus Master in Chemical Innovation and Regulation in a consortium of the University of Bologna, Barcelona and Algarve. Originally from the Philippines, he graduated magna cum laude in chemistry from Ateneo de Manila University.
