Learning by doing

Learning by doing in class

Active classes

You’ll work in small, participatory groups focusing on law and current legal issues, as well as business reality. You’ll constantly interact with your classmates and faculty.

New ventures: Create your own start-up

You’ll have the chance to develop your entrepreneurial spirit, defining a business plan for a potential start-up.

Trial simulations

Esade has a simulated courtroom with the same recording systems used in courts today. You’ll be able to take part in trial simulations and watch all manner of hearings and trials.

Business simulations

At Esade you’ll also be able to experience the most common decision-making processes applied in firms first-hand. The decisions you make will have an impact on the simulated company’s different departments and the firm’s bottom-line. You’ll also have to make new decisions and respond to your shareholders’ concerns.

Real case studies

In class, you and your classmates will debate on and resolve real legal and business cases, using reference companies such as Walmart, Zara-Inditex and Volkswagen. You’ll analyse the situation and propose and argue in favour of possible solutions, applying the knowledge you’ve acquired.

Competency development

Throughout the programme, you’ll work on developing fundamental skills and competencies for the legal and management fields: public-speaking, leadership, negotiations, innovation, social responsibility, etc.

Learning by doing outside the classroom

During the Double Degree, you’ll also have the opportunity to take part in various legal experiences outside of class, including international moot courts, debate leagues and Model UN sessions. In addition, you’ll also visit companies, law firms and courts and you’ll attend lectures or meetings with prestigious entrepreneurs and lawyers.
