International competitions

Accept the challenge: see how you measure up against students from all over the world

International competitions are a unique opportunity to open your mind beyond the classroom and enhance your practical training. As a student in ESADE’s Double Degree in Business Administration and Law, you’ll have the chance to participate in various international business and law competitions. You’ll experience the thrill and motivation of competing on real-life cases against teams from universities all over the world. Accept the challenge and have an experience that will add value to your professional profile.

Moot Courts

International moot court competitions are courtroom simulations where teams from various law schools work on cases and argue their positions before an international jury. The Double Degree offers students the opportunity to participate in some of the most prestigious moot court competitions. Experience the thrill of preparing a case, facing the court, and putting your knowledge and skills to the test.

Moot courts in which our students have participated include:

Arbitration Moot of Madrid; the Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court; and the most internationally recognised: the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.

Success stories 2015:

The ESADE team won the Jessup national final and travelled to Washington for the international final.

Debate leagues

Competing in debate leagues is an ideal way to practise public speaking and get better at thinking on your feet. To represent ESADE in debate leagues, students must complete a specific training course on argumentation, critical reasoning, research and oral resources. On completion of the course, a selection process is carried out and teams are formed. The teams then begin to prepare for the various leagues they decide to compete in.

Some of the leagues our students have competed in:

> Xarxa Vives league

> Unijés league

> UFV league

> Judiciary leagues

2015 Success Stories:

> Finalists in two judiciary leagues

> Best public speaker and two honourable mentions

> Two students, Sofía Espízua and Clara Amat, selected to compete in Strasbourg with other candidates from across Spain

Business Games

Each year, big-name Spanish and international companies organise competitions and challenges for students in the BBA and Double Degree. These events will give you the opportunity to address real-life business cases, which you and your teammates will have to solve. You will then be asked to present your results to high-profile business executives. In short, these events will allow you to work with major Spanish and multinational companies and share your ideas and initiatives with their representatives.

Competitions our students have participated in:
L’Oréal Marketing Award, E-Strat Challenge, Repsol Challenge, Trust Danone, Innovation Quest.
