Esade has been recognised, for the third consecutive year, as one of the top three business schools in Western Europe during the awards ceremony of the twelfth Eduniversal world convention held in Bangkok. The agency has again ranked Esade among the 100 most influential schools in the world with its highest recognition for academic excellence – the ‘5 Palmes of Excellence’.

This recognition is based on a survey Eduniversal undertakes every year with the participation of nearly 1000 deans from leading international business schools. The recognition is awarded to the 27 schools worldwide (three from each of the nine geographical areas identified by the agency) who receive the highest scores from the global academic community.

The director of international academic relations for Esade Business School, Antonia Maria Serra, received the award and said: ‘It is a pride and honour to receive this recognition, which is the result of our constant investment in talent and knowledge, our global vocation, and our commitment to building fairer and more prosperous societies’. This award, she added: ‘encourages us to continue our work in offering an innovative educational experience, with social impact, and inspires us to strive for continuous improvement’.

This is the twelfth Eduniversal conference since 2008 and under the title ‘Transformation and creativity in a hyper-connected world’ it brought together leaders and representatives of business schools from nearly 40 nations to discuss and exchange perspectives on the major trends and challenges facing higher education in a changing environment.

The executive director of Eduniversal, Cécile Escape, commented that: ‘creativity is an energy that all educational organisations must incorporate and encourage in their classrooms. Students must be shown how to transform this energy into action. As leaders in their sectors, the top business schools should be an example’. She added that ‘a commitment to innovation is part of Esade’s DNA’.
