As the incidence of the virus decreases, mobility between these regions will normalise, following a\u00a0<strong>&#8220;green zoning&#8221; strategy<\/strong>, similar to the one we proposed in our previous #PolicyInsight.<\/li>\n<li>In this #PolicyInsight we propose to elevate the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dobetter.esade.edu\/en\/covid-19-green-zones\">green zoning approach<\/a>\u00a0to the level of the European Union. The idea is simple:\u00a0<strong>allowing the mobility of people between &#8220;green zones&#8221; of different European countries<\/strong>\u00a0through a network of regions certified by European institutions.<\/li>\n<li>If well communicated and with sufficient guarantees, this proposal could\u00a0<strong>save the summer tourist season in southern Europe<\/strong>, thus mitigating the enormous economic costs that the closure to international tourism could cause for these countries.<\/li>\n<li>European green zones represent a unique\u00a0<strong>opportunity for the EU to demonstrate leadership<\/strong>, creating a win-win situation for all countries, with a huge direct positive impact on the lives of millions of European citizens.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>European green zones represent a unique\u00a0opportunity for the EU to demonstrate leadership, creating a win-win situation for all countries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":949,"template":"","yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v22.9 -
