This generated legal controversies and complaints from unions and labor authorities, who argued that these workers should be considered employees of the company and have the rights that this implies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Judicial ruling: <\/strong>In September 2020, the Spanish Supreme Court ruled that there was an employment relationship between Glovo and its delivery drivers. In other words, they should not be classified as self-employed but as employees. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Resolution:<\/strong> In December 2024, the company announced a change in its labor model in Spain, committing to hire its delivery drivers as employees.
