At this event, organised by the ESADE Alumni Public Management Club, Leonardo Wolk will be talking to us about his experience in the field of coaching and the importance of coaching in terms of public managers' responsibilities. Coaching is a transformational learning process intended to bring the best people to the top, develop professionals’ talent and potential, along with the potential of the organisations to which they belong. A relationship is created between client and coach, and through conversation and dialogue a link is established that leads to self-knowledge, reflection and discovery – oriented towards learning – commitment to action, and accountability and responsibility. Coaching is an increasingly common practice in private and public organisations, and is therefore currently taking on greater significance for public managers. Leonardo Wolk will talk to us about his experience in coaching, and answer the questions put to him by participants during this session on coaching applied to public managers. His answers will help us consider how coaching contributes, or might contribute in the future, to positions of responsibility in public management.
