The ESADE Law School has the pleasure of inviting you to a seminar on "The assessment of scientific proof", delivered by Dr. Michele Taruffo, Professor in Procedural Law at the Università di Pavia (Italy), on 16th February.
Professor Michele Taruffo is lecturer in Civil Procedural Law at the Università di Pavia (Italy). He is also a member of the "Cátedra de Cultura Jurídica" at the Universitat de Girona, the "Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei", the "American Law Institute", the "Bielefelder Kreis", the "Instituto Brasileiro de Direito Processual", the "Association Henri Capitant des Amis de la Culture Juridique Française", the "Associazione Italiana di Diritto Comparato", the "Associazione Italiana tra gli Studiosi del Diritto Processuale", and other Italian and international associations.
He is currently also Vice-President of the “International Association of Procedural Law" and of the “International Association of Evidence and Forensic Law".
He has published widerly in the area of procedural law and has given lectures and seminars in the Universities of Harvard, Yale, Cornell and London, amongst others.
