THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED

Alumni Giving Back
invites you to this session that will focus on the role of consultants and advisers who carry out supporting tasks.

Small gestures, however insignificant they may seem, have a major social repercussion, and even more so when they are done altruistically and with great personal and emotional involvement. This is why we would like to thank and reaffirm the commitment of those consultants and advisers who carry out truly professional work, and voluntarily it must be stressed, in different non-profit entities through the Alumni Giving Back project.

Joining us at this event will be Toni Puig, cultural advisor and highly-renowned speaker within the third sector. Toni is coordinator of Barcelona City Council's civic centres, lecturer in Marketing and Communication at ESADE, innovation consultant in the public and grassroots sector, and an authority in city brand creation. He has written several best-selling books about communication, culture, marketing and associations, including Dinamización de asociaciones y gestión de recursos en las organizaciones no lucrativas and Las asociaciones de Barcelona, Cataluña y España con el Fórum 2004.

What's more, we will show part of the film A Small Act, a heart-warming documentary that will show us how our effort and perseverance in small everyday acts of kindness can give huge rewards.

To close, and as proof of the determination of the voluntary sector, cornerstone of this session, we will learn about the ONG ACIDH-Asociación Catalana de Integración y Desarrollo Humano, which strives to improve the lives of people with limited intelligence through all-round care. A representative from this ONG will explain their experience as benefactor of an Alumni Giving Back consultancy project and the results obtained from it. These include a new work centre which was launched thanks to the assessment given by the project volunteers.

Opening the event will be Elisenda Serra, Director of the consulting firm Cognoscere and Alumni Giving Back volunteer since 2008.

Free of charge – Please confirm attendance.
