The ESADE Alumni Professional Careers Service cordially invites you to this hands-on workshop where we will learn the basic and potential features of Twitter as a 2.0 tool to promote ourselves as professionals.
Twitter is still, believe it or not, a relatively new tool that has unquestionably revolutionised our way of communicating with each other, something which is gradually seducing Spanish companies. Although it has only been available in Spanish since November 2009, many of these firms have already realised the huge advantages that its use entails, especially in the world of recruitment: immediate reaction; cost and time efficiency; being able to 'meet' the candidate in advance; segmentation, and so on.
With a growth of 151% last year, and Spain being one of the fastest-growing Twitter-using countries, this microblogging tool and its many connected apps have become a powerful networking tool that 8/10 users already use consciously not only to look for job offers, but also to promote themselves and position themselves professionally. And two more interesting figures: over 400,000 job offers are published on Twitter each month and 45% of international companies use it to recruit future talent.
