The ESADE Alumni Tarragona Club is holding this session as part of the regional club Refresher Programme.
Economist Alberto Gimeno (Lic&Master 84/PhD 99), Lecturer of the ESADE Department of Business Policy, will give a talk titled “Dynamic management of family businesses", in which he will analyse the situation of family-run companies in Spain and offer keys for this type of firm to successfully tackle the current crisis.
The session sets out to show family businesses' ability to create value through learning and developing viewpoints, methodologies and tools which help them evolve and transform.
Alberto Gimeno is one of the founding partners of Family Business Knowledge (FBK), an applied research company focussing on family businesses and, in particular, how to apply the theory of complexity to family business management, with a view to creating analytical models of this management.
On graduating, he set up his own business (Tecnologías del Medio Ambiente, SL). He has also been managing director of United Port Services, SA, and Productos Frit Ravich, SL.
