Flecha_roja6346.gif (101 bytes) We aim to ensure that texts produced by members of the ESADE staff in Catalan, Spanish or English are correct in terms of both style and grammar.

The Language Advisory Service translates teaching notes, working papers, institutional copy and administrative material to and from Catalan, Spanish, and English. Translations from/to other languages, including French, German, Italian and Portuguese, can be arranged.

Use of this service is limited to the ESADE teaching and administrative staff.

Latest International Publications by ESADE faculty

The Fall 2000 term is off to a good start in terms of faculty publications abroad:

Ethics and Organizations: Understanding Business Ethics as a Learning Practice by Professor Josep María Lozano (Department of Social Sciences) has now been published by Kluwer Academic Publishers, Dordrecht.

"Using Structural Equation Models to Evaluate the Magnitude of Measurement Error in Blood Pressure" by Joan Manel Batista-Foguet (Department of Quantitative Methods) has been accepted for publication in Statistics in Medicine. This is particularly noteworthy inasmuch as publication of Professor Batista-Foguet's paper will mark the first time Statistics in Medicine has published a paper written by an author who is not a member of the medical profess¡on. The paper was co-authored with Germán Coenders (Universitat de Girona) and Maite Artés and translated to English by Patricia Mathews of the Language Advisory Service.

"Life-Styles of Spanish School-Aged Children: Their Evolution Over Time. Use of Multiple Correspondence Analysis to Determine Overall Trends Over Time in a Sequential, Cross-Sectional Study" by Joan Manel Batista-Foguet, Ramón Mendoza (Universidad de Huelva), Montserrat Pérez-Perdigón and Roser Rius (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya) has been published as a chapter in New Approaches in Applied Statistics by Anuska Ferligoj and Andrej Mrvar (editors), Metodoloski Zvezki, 16, Ljubljana, 2000.

Market Leader. Business Law by Tricia Smith of the ESADE Language School was published in Longman's Business English collection in September 2000.

As you can see, publishing abroad is one of the best ways to publicise ESADE outside of Spain. Please send details of your published work to Patricia Mathews so we can post them on the Language Advisory Service web page.

Thanks… and congratulations to everyone who has been published abroad.
