ESADE: 50 Years Inspiring Futures

The year 2008 marks the 50th anniversary of the creation of ESADE. We want to celebrate this occasion by thanking all the people and institutions who have contributed to this project and by reaffirming our commitment to inspiring futures.

ESADE was founded in 1957 by a group of Catalan entrepreneurs who joined forces with the Society of Jesus to create a university dedicated to training competent, professional business managers with a sense of social responsibility.

Today, ESADE enjoys a national and international reputation as a centre of excellence in the education of professionals in business and law. It carries out its activities on three campuses, in Barcelona, Madrid and Buenos Aires.

All this has been made possible by the effort and dedication of the entire ESADE community: faculty, students, alumni, administrative and service staff, the companies of the Board of Trustees of Fundació ESADE, and all the people and organisations that have collaborated with ESADE over these five decades.

The slogan chosen by our community to commemorate the first 50 years of ESADE is "Inspiring Futures". We believe that the future is ESADE's raw material: we train future professionals, we research subjects of future importance, and we debate the challenges that society will face in the future.

The programme for ESADE's 50th anniversary celebration is broad and varied. It includes exhibitions, panel discussions featuring executives and scholars, alumni activities and international meetings to be held on our campus throughout 2008. Each of the groups that make up our institution will play an important role in these events.

We would like this to be an open celebration. Therefore, we invite anyone interested in the future of the fields of business or law to actively participate in the activities organised to commemorate the first 50 years of ESADE.
