  • Oriol Iglesias, Ph.D.

  • Oriol Iglesias is a PhD in Management Sciences at ESADE-URL. Oriol is interested in Marketing and in Knowledge Management. He is currently conducting a study on corporate knowledge in relationship marketing oriented Spanish hotel chains.

    Before joining the PhD Programme, Oriol worked in different companies (e.g. Xerox España, ATI-Markefin, El Terrat Online). A common characteristic of his personal and professional profile is his entrepreneurship style, always willing to pursue new challenges. Oriol has a degree in Business Administration and an MBA from ESADE (URL)

  • JC Spender holds several visiting positions including the Fulbright Visiting Chair in the Management of Knowledge-Based Enterprises at Queen's University, Kingston, Canada, and the Svenska Handelsbanken Visiting Chair of Knowledge Management at Lund University, Sweden. He also holds Visiting Professorships at ESADE, the Cranfield School of Management, and the Open University and Leeds University Business Schools.

    His degrees include a BA and an MA in Engineering Honors from Oxford and a Ph.D. in Corporate Strategy from the Manchester Business School, which thesis won the Academy of Management's AT Kearney Prize in 1980. He was also recently awarded, jointly with Rob Grant (Georgetown U), the 2006 Strategic Management Society's Best SMJ Paper prize for the Winter 1996 Special Issue on Knowledge Management. He has published widely; several books, and many journal articles and book chapters.


  • Fernando Sandoval Arzaga, Ph.D.

  • Fernando Sandoval is full time research professor from EGADE Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico. He is conducting research in tacit knowledge, team learning and family business. Also, Fernando has worked as consultant in strategy, knowledge and organizational learning, corporate governance and family firms areas in different types of companies in the Mexican and Latinamerican context.  He has a PhD in Management Sciences from ESADE-URL.

  • Manuel Francisco Suárez Barraza, Ph.D.

  • Manuel F. Suárez holds a PhD in Management Sciences from ESADE-URL. He is a Full Professor of Operations Management at the Graduate School of Business Administration and Leadership (EGADE), Tecnologico de Monterrey at Toluca, Mexico. His research areas include: Process Management and Improvement; Improvement Teams; and Innovation in Public Administration. Currently, he is carrying out a study on the sustainability of continuous improvement processes in Spanish local administrations and is also working on the possibility of formalising knowledge in a process management context.

    Manuel has an extensive professional curriculum. He has worked in the Secretariat for Economic Development (State Public Sector), as Head of Projects and Quality Control; at Toyota Motor Company, in Aichi, Japan; as Production Engineer in the BIMBO Industrial Grup; and in the state-owned Mexican oil company, PEMEX being in charge of quality control projects. Manuel was born in Mexico and is a graduate in Biochemical Engineering. He holds a Master in Total Quality Control Management (TQC) and Continual Productivity Improvement (KAIZEN), from the University of Sophia and the Central Industrial Association of Japan (CHU-SAN-REN) in Tokyo and Nagoya, Japan.


  • Itziar Castelló

  • Itziar Castelló is a PhD candidate at ESADE-URL. Itziar is interested in Corporate Responsibility, Strategy and Knowledge Management areas. Currently, she is collaborating in a research which studies the processes of knowledge creation and diffusion in different communities that interact in regional clusters.

    Before joining the PhD Programme, Itziar was employed by AccountAbility Institute of Researching the United Kingdom as Senior Advisor holding a number of important accounts and doing research projects on corporate responsibility. Previous to that she worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers and for General Electric in the areas of Total Quality and Six Sigma.

    She holds a Masters on European Economy from the College of Europe in Belgium an Executive MBA from ESADE.
     


  • Evandro Bocatto

  • Evandro Bocatto holds a PhD in Management Sciences from ESADE-URL. He is currently carrying out research into the participatory budget as a tool for Citizenship Learning.

    Evandro is an Assistant Professor at Universitat Rovira i Virgili and at Escola Superior Balear. He has also participated in the study "Compared Institutional Diagnostic in Central Governments of Latin-American Countries" organised by ESADE's Institute of Public Management (IDGP). His previous experience includes Human Resources managerial tasks in various organisations.

    He holds a degree in Psychology from PUCC (Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas), São Paulo, Brazil and an MBA from EAESP (Fundação Getúlio Vargas), São Paulo, Brazil.
