In order to develop its different areas of research and generate outputs, the IEL consists of a solid, project-based structure led by both ESADE Professors and PhD candidates. In some of these projects, directors of other Spanish and international research centres also participate.
The IEL's basic research projects are funded by public sponsors, such as the Generalitat of Catalonia, the Spanish Government, and the European Union. Applied projects are supported by collaborative agreements between IEL-ESADE and private companies, such as Randstad, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, and Deloitte.
The Institute of Labour Studies has five areas of research:
- Job Market
- Diversity
- Corporate Culture and Values
- Health and Quality of Work Life
- Emerging Issues and new Policies in Human Resources
The outputs generated by IEL consist of various types of publications:
- Books
- Articles
- Conferences
- Reports
