Citisense

As part of the Smart City Expo World Congress, the World Bank and ESADE organize the CitiSense Conference in Barcelona. This year edition promoted the "how to" implement innovative approaches for urban management.

The Citisense is the lead-up for the Smart City Expo World Congress and has become a key networking event for the policy makers coming to the expo. The conferences combine TED-style talks and Pecha-Kucha presentations with practical experiences on transforming cities into hubs for innovation and prosperity, boosting co-creative efforts to empower citizens and improving service delivery and urban management.

Workshops on Innovation in Cities

The Center for Innovation in Cities is also a forum to share ideas and experiences on the future of innovation in cities and so, it organizes workshops to debate about it.

The first workshop organized by the Center for Innovation in Cities was "Transparency and Open Data in local government: Challenges and Opportunities",  which brought together more than a hundred people at ESADEForum to hear the experiences of Gavà and Rubí opening their data using the tools provided by Socrata, the leading US company in the sector.
