Trayectoria profesional

Silviya Svejenova es Profesora Titular del Departamento de Política de Empresa de ESADE Business School. Es PhD in Management (Doctora en Dirección de Empresas) por IESE Business School. Ha cursado el IFDP, International Faculty Development Program de IESE-HEC-SDA Bocconi y el EECPCL, curso de postgrado en Entrepreneurship de la Harvard Business School. Con anterioridad, ha sido profesora de la Cranfield School of Management (Reino Unido), la ESCI-UPF (España) y la Varna University of Economics (Bulgaria), e investigadora asociada del Departamento de Dirección General de IESE Business School.

En su actividad docente, ha impartido clases en programas para ejecutivos en España, Alemania, Francia, Holanda, Lituania, Luxemburgo, Portugal, y Reino Unido. Su curso "International Entrepreneurship" ha sido reconocido por la red CEMS (The Global Alliance in Management Education) como curso del año para 2008, entre 120 cursos de 17 escuelas.

Su investigación actual se centra en innovación en los modelos de negocio y estrategias basadas en la creatividad. Ha abordado también temas relacionados con la gestión de las relaciones (desde redes sociales hasta acuerdos entre organizaciones), la carrera profesional y la labor de los altos directivos, así como el rol que ejercen en la transformación e internacionalización de sus empresas. Su investigación ha sido publicada en prestigiosas revistas académicas, como MIT Sloan Management Review, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Organization, Journal of Management Studies, Academy of Management Perspectives, y comentada en la prensa (Wall Street Journal, Fortune magazine). Es co-autora de dos libros, uno de los cuales - Sharing Executive Power (Cambridge University Press, 2005) - ha sido seleccionado por la Academy of Management entre los tres finalistas para el Terry Book Award al mejor libro de Management para el 2007.

Silviya es desde 2004 miembro del Consejo Directivo del EGOS (European Group for Organizational Studies) y desde 2002 co-directora de la sección de Industrias Creativas en las conferencias de EGOS.
