ESADE and Banco Santander set up an Entrepreneurship Research Fund

The fund will be used to promote new initiatives and business projects in economics, business management, law and social sciences.

ESADE and Banco Santander have signed an agreement under which Banco Santander will make a €1.5 million donation over the next five years to establish an entrepreneurship research fund. Revenue from this endowment fund will be allocated to financing projects carried out by ESADE’s Entrepreneurship Institute (EEI).

As part of the agreement, an academic committee made up of ESADE and Santander representatives will be set up to track the progress of projects, and will also be responsible for assessing future projects eligible for financing.

Taking on EEI ‘partner’ status, Banco Santander will now become a Senior Partner in the Corporate Relations Programme. In addition, a classroom on the Sant Cugat Campus will be named in appreciation of Banco Santander’s commitment to ESADE, and the bank will be included on the donor plaque in ESADE premises in Barcelona, Madrid and Sant Cugat.
