Our approach to talent is focused on attracting creative, innovative, entrepreneurial-minded young people who, in addition to possessing considerable intellectual potential, have the sort of drive that will create viral effects among their classmates and enable them to represent the ESADE brand throughout their professional careers.

Scholarships for University Programmes

Currently, 10% of ESADE’s students are on scholarship. These students have in common an excellent academic record, but at the personal level they are a richly diverse group: they come from various parts of Spain and other countries and have different social backgrounds.

Over the next five years, ESADE hopes to raise its percentage of students on scholarship to 30%.

This goal will require an economic commitment of approximately 3.5 million euros.

Scholarships for MBA Programs

At present, 15% of our MBA students receive scholarships, covering between 5.000 and 10.000 euros of tuition fees. This highly international group of students represent all of the world’s continents and a large number of cultures and backgrounds. They share a high level of talent and a promising professional future.

Within five years, ESADE aims to expand its scholarship programme to attract exceptional candidates from all over the world, especially those from emerging countries.

This goal will require an economic commitment of approximately 360,000 euros.

Scholarships for PhD in Management Sciences and Master of Research in Management Sciences (MRes)

At present, partial-tuition scholarships are given to 40% of MRes students and 70% of PhD students.

These students have in common an excellent academic record, but at the personal level they are a richly diverse group: 85% of them are foreign, representing a wide range of cultures and backgrounds.

Over the next five years, ESADE hopes to raise its percentage of students with partial scholarships to 60% in the MRes programme and 100% in the PhD This goal will require an economic commitment of approximately 430,000 euros.

Frederick Onyango
Student in the PhD in Management Sciences programme (2nd year). Born in Kenya in 1977.

Interested in Social Responsibility (Institute for Social Innovation), his research focuses on the affordability and accessibility of financial services in developing countries.
"I hope, one day, to lecture in Strategy, Public Policy and Social Responsibility. If this becomes a reality, thanks to the ESADE Scholarship, the benefits will spread out to the rest of Kenyan society, which desperately needs the kind of skills and competences ESADE is known for."
"Completing a PhD at a Kenyan university takes longer due to the fact that you need a PhD holder to supervise your dissertation. This leads to a lot of PhD candidates, who’ve completed the taught period of their PhD course, having to queue up for dissertation supervisors. Once I successfully complete my PhD, I’ll be able to help not only reduce this queue but also come up with other innovative ways of dealing with these and other challenges, thanks to the ESADE experience."
