Career and social integration

As both a career management and social integration event, the Welcome Week kicks off the Full Time MBA programme with a variety of on- and off-campus activities.

To prepare you for the interview opportunities that arise early on in the MBA programme, such as from the Investment Banking and Consulting sectors, one of the Immersion Week's objectives is to set the foundations for your professional advancement. Given the demanding workload of The ESADE MBA, it is easy to lose sight of the end objective: your career post-MBA. It is precisely for this reason that we want you to start thinking about your future sooner rather than later to make sure you do not pass up on interesting opportunities along the way.

Through a series of seminars and activities, the Welcome Week will provide you with insights into the main MBA recruiting trends and equip you with the key skills for a successful job/internship search. You will receive professional advice on how to structure your CV, draft effective cover letters, develop your value proposition in a competitive recruitment market and how to interview successfully.

As recent arrivals to the MBA programme and, in many cases, to Barcelona the Welcome Week is also a social integration event to begin establishing relationships with your classmates as well as familiarising yourself with your new city. You will spend two days off-campus where you will start to generate team dynamics and develop your team working skills within highly diverse groups, a central pillar of The ESADE MBA's methodology.
