This Scholarship is compatible with the rest of the ESADE Scholarships.

"Before setting foot in ESADE, I knew that my academic performance was important and that if I worked hard, I’d be able to get good grades.  However, I wanted to make a difference, a contribution to ESADE community that would go beyond academics.  That is the major part of the reason I, through ESADE Operations Club, initiated the Emirates Trek.  The trek helped the school build long-term relationships with multi-billion dollar companies in the Middle East and allowed the participants to get an insight into the job opportunities available in the region.
ESADE Impact Scholarship has reinforced my belief that making a contribution to ESADE community is appreciated and rewarded, even if I don’t think about the returns.  Also, it motivates me to further contribute to ESADE community, not only while studying at ESADE, but more importantly, when I graduate and join the work place.  I’m committed to representing and promoting ESADE whenever the opportunity arises.”

When I was elected class delegate at the beginning of my MBA, I was excited about the possibility of helping make the academic experience of my class the best it could be. Working with Program Management let me understand the workings of an MBA program, which was great since I am more a ‘big-picture’ thinker. Having felt that I got as much from the experience as I gave back to my class, I was utterly surprised when I was awarded the impact scholarship. Being surrounded by so many people who give a lot to the school and with delegate work often being ‘unseen’, I was honored to have been chosen. I’ve seen over the last year that every little contribution can lead to a combined big impact. Although I’m no longer an official delegate, I still get the greatest reward from knowing that I am still giving back in larger and smaller ways and helping the new class find their feet.

Upon being called to meet Program Management, I figured they must have wanted to discuss something related to either my role as Vice-President of the MBA Student Association, or as the lead for the Open Days for prospective students. Not once did I expect to be awarded the Impact Scholarship! Everything that I was involved with at school was rewarding enough to begin with, especially since I was able to work with and learn from a very talented and driven set of classmates and friends. Of course, receiving the scholarship made me realize that the work that I was doing was helping the school become even better, and was appreciated. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the ride, and am now looking forward to passing the baton on to the next class; who I am sure will improve on the various initiatives started by the Class of 2012.
