This past 14th April -back by popular demand- the Innovation Speed Dating event was held, bringing together some 180 MBA students and entrepreneurs from over 32 projects searching for future business leaders to collaborate with them in proposals across all sectors, from science and technology through to communication and fashion.
‘Innovation Speed Dating’ unites two profiles, each of whom has a huge necessity for the other. On the one hand, exceptional MBA talent, capable of taking companies to new levels of innovation with their fresh business ideas, and on the other, entrepreneurs with original ideas with huge potential in need of competent project managers.
The objective of these speedy encounters is to bring science and management together to great effect.
Participants were able to discover projects related to all sectors. In this edition, for example, these included computers able to identify gluten traces in food, t-shirts with sensors to measure blood pressure or pulse, or a vibrating bracelet to improve security for the deaf.
Larger companies such as AGBAR (Barcelona’s Water company) were there, presenting their ideas for better water management, and MODAFAD who presentrd their new design formulae to potential designers. Other areas touched on include; environmental use of urban roofing, public bicycle parking spaces, social initiative fundraising projects in the Mediterranean, or analysis of nuclear security, amongst many others.
