How important are languages?

Fifty years ago, the ability to speak another language was an added plus in the job market. Today, it is a fundamental requirement for success in an increasingly competitive and globalized world. Companies and organizations no longer ask candidates to have a certain level in a given language – candidates must now have excellent communication skills in several languages.

Esade recruiters stress that mastering at least two languages (in addition to the students’ own) is the most important skill when it comes to working in international business and legal firms: 95% consider this skill essential.

Language education: What do we offer our students?

Good language teaching is more than merely transmitting knowledge. Our mission focuses on our students’ holistic development as effective communicators and intercultural professionals, and especially, as committed and responsible individuals. The Esade Language Center enables students to play an active role in a learning process that is motivating and effective – and with personalized assessment.
