Mastery of two foreign languages: English + Legal English + second foreign language

The ESADE Bachelor in Law programme includes a strong linguistic component in its curriculum: You’ll complete a part of the programme in English in addition to studying legal English plus French or German. Upon graduating, your mastery of these foreign languages in addition to your background in Transnational Law will define you as a lawyer with a clear international profile: You’ll be able to work anywhere in the world. .

English is a compulsory subject throughout the programme: You’ll graduate having earned the equivalent of the Advanced Certificate. In addition, the curriculum combines subjects in Spanish with those taught completely in English such as Legal Ethics and Comparative Law. You will increasingly enrol in classes taught in English as you progress throughout the programme. By the time you graduate, 40%* of your subjects will have been taught in English. Also worth noting is the Diploma in Global Legal Skills and the fourth-year specialisation subjects all taught entirely in English.

You’ll sit up to 6 hours every week in small and highly participatory classes taught by native speakers. Your fluency in this second foreign language will not be just in terms of legal vocabulary but also in terms of key competencies such as public speaking and writing legal documents.
