Biography
Director of the Department of Economics at ESADE. His teaching and research activities centre on macroeconomics, with a focus on its international and applied dimensions. An important part of this activity has concentrated on the follow-up and analysis of the European Union economic and monetary integration process, as well as its adaptation into the global economic context.
A key factor of his activity has been the link with macro policymaking institutions. He has been Economic Advisor to the European Commission (2000-2003), Policy Research Advisor to the Bank of Spain (1990-1999), and to the Spanish Ministry of Finance (1988-1990).
