Biography
He has a PhD in Economics and Social Sciences from the Universität zu Köln and a PhD in Business Studies from the Universidad de Barcelona.
He is currently an Honorary Professor of ESADE and he has been a lecturer and Director of the Departments of Economics and of Human Resource Management, and President of the Faculty of ESADE.
In these years, his research and his publications have focused especially on the problems of the social market economy system of Germany in the face of globalization and, more generally, on the adaptation of the social protection systems to the demands of a globalized environment, and to all the problems raised, from these perspectives, with a view to the gestation process of the European Union.
