Biography
He is developing his academic career in the field of the theory and philosophy of Law. He has a PhD in Legal Sciences from Cornell University (New York, United States), where he defended his thesis entitled "Roscoe Pound and Problems of Contemporary Jurisprudence", supervised by Professor Robert Summers. He obtained a LL.M. from the European Academy of Legal Theory in Brussels, with the designation magna cum laude, presenting a research dissertation with the title "An Epistemological Approach to Legal Pluralism", supervised by Professor Geoffrey Samuel from Kent University at Canterbury (an adapted version of this dissertation was published as "Pluralismo vs. Dogmática. Una aproximación al pluralismo jurídico", in Cuadernos ESADE, no. 3).
He has been linked to ESADE since he joined the Law School as a student in 1994. After completing his degree studies he obtained the School's first research scholarship, which allowed him to combine his stays abroad with tasks as an Assistant Lecturer at ESADE. Since 2003, he has been hired by the Department of Public Law.
