- To encourage private investors (BAs) to participate in the initial creation and development of companies.
- To explain the elements involved in the process of investing in a business project, with special emphasis on financial aspects
- To give participants the opportunity to meet other potential BAs.
- To encourage participating BAs to join existing networks and set up new networks.
This programme is designed for businesspeople; executives who have the time, resources and network to consider BA opportunities; and others interested in investing in new projects, training as BAs, enhancing their existing skills, creating BA networks and understanding the process of investing in non-listed companies.
- Introduction to BAs.
- Business plan.
- Financial analysis and planning.
- Evaluation: traditional methods and the risk capital method.
- The due diligence process.
- Investment structure and negotiation.
- Tax treatment of business angels. Disposing of investments.
The lecture-based programme has a practical approach. Participants are encouraged to actively participate, share their knowledge and interact with their colleagues.
Lectures will be given by ESADE faculty and by invited speakers with business and investment experience as BAs and in venture capital.
