Leadership and Social Innovation in the ONG of Development

  • Develop the key leadership and management competencies needed for increasingly turbulent and dynamic environments, helping NGDO executives adapt to the new tasks and responsibilities which they will face throughout their professional careers.
  • Train third-sector executives in the specific topics they are most concerned with, bearing in mind their areas of action and interest.
  • Help NGDO executives search for innovative solutions to the challenges faced by the planet in the 21st century.
  • Foment an international perspective among third-sector executives in our country for a greater understanding of the complex globalisation process across all levels.

The programme is aimed especially at those who:

  • Currently hold positions of responsibility in NGDOs
  • Count on ample professional experience in the area of NGDOs
  • Wish to improve their managerial skills
The programme gives as much importance to the teaching methodology used as it does to the content. This is a central element in how the programme is structured.

The programme's focus is essentially on experience. Learning takes place more readily through experience than through traditional formulas to convey knowledge. Participants will analyse concrete realities, diagnose problems, contrast and debate different points of view and interact with other participants. The course is structured as intensive seminars to make this focus more plausible.

The programme dedicates more time to analyse case studies national and international, carry out simulations, teamwork and open debates than occurs in other programmes, and the professors are especially dedicated to stimulate individual and collective learning.

In terms of format, the programme also takes into account the difficulties NGDO executives have in participating in training programmes as these take time away from their work. To minimize these difficulties and though the programme requires participants' to attend classes, the programme offers a lighter format which includes five intensive modules lasting three days each.
