Program in Sales Management - PSM

The Program in Sales Management aims to:

  • Complete executive education for participants with a extensive overview of sales management and of the role of the Sales Manager as a leader in this area;

  • Provide participants with a comprehensive and integrated understanding of the processes that make up modern sales management, as well as the main techniques, tools and methodologies currently being applied by leading companies and businesses to succeed in the market and at the point of sale.
     

Addressed to:

Employers, managers and professionals with proven experience in all types of business and sector, in consumer goods and the industrial or services markets, who want to further their knowledge of sales management and develop their skills as sales team leaders.
 
Participants are professionals with over eight years’ experience in positions of responsibility in managerial, commercial, sales and/or marketing areas, or executives from any functional area, who are interested in finding out more about their customers’ needs and improve their business response.

 

ESADE’s teaching methodology is based on the combination of different tools aimed at promoting the active learning process and working methods to help in the decision-making process. The PSM combines a wide variety of methodologies in order to maximise the programme’s effect, both in terms of knowledge delivered during the programme as well as training given to executives in terms of self-development within their company.

Classroom-based sessions
Dynamic classes in which participants can discuss the concepts presented by faculty. Participants are invited to share their experiences through teamwork activities.

Blended Learning
Participants will have an online tool, through which the knowledge and concepts discussed by faculty will be complemented by new activities, resulting in a more complete training experience. With a minimum of two sessions, this platform will be used to enhance class work.

LDD - Leadership and Directive Development
This module is framed in the training Blended Learning, it will provide to the participants a methodology to develop managerial competences and will make them reflect on their leadership style. In this module the methodology LEAD,  will be applied, developed exclusively for ESADE and applied with success to the development of managers since seven years ago.

  • CHANNEL MANAGEMENT AND GO-TO-MARKET STRATEGY
    Connection and coherence. Key aspects of distribution channel management. 
     
  • SALES STRATEGY
    Deciding on a business strategy. Analysis of the connection between segmentation and other components. Value proposal design.
     
  • COMMERCIAL ORGANISATION
    Design of the commercial structure. Deciding on the optimal size of the sales network.
     
  • KEY ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT
    Key account management (KAM). Co-marketing strategies.
     
  • SALES TEAM MANAGEMENT
    Recruitment and training policies. Specifying objectives and pay scales. Sales information systems. Leadership and change management teams.

    New dates, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:30am to 6:30pm
    and Fridays from 9:30am to 2:30pm.
