kj
With at least 8 years’ professional experience, candidates will come from a wide range of sectors and business types, creating a plural and cooperative learning environment.
The design of the Programme for Management Development places particular emphasis on the following aspects:
Management capabilities
The programme equips participants with an in-depth, applied knowledge of the criteria and working methods involved in managing organisations. Participants can expect a substantial improvement in their capabilities for analysis and decision-making and their effectiveness in managing processes and in aligning activities and resources with the strategic needs of the organisation.
Managerial competencies
The programme provides participants with an ideal setting to analyse and reflect on their own managerial competencies and leadership skills. A special methodology is used to teach them to define a personal strategy for developing their own capabilities.
People and team management
The key duty of any manager is to have the skills to make the organisation grow through the personal growth of its collaborators and work teams. The PMD® makes this one of the core aspects of its teaching. It brings in a wide range of methods to address the fundamental competencies and issues of people management. This area is also given special attention in some of the programme’s most important modules.
Networking
The programme will help you by extending your professional network and enriching your experience in dialogue with colleagues, business leaders and professors.
One of the key elements in this learning model is contributed by the participants themselves, exchanging experiences that enrich the knowledge acquired both within and outside the classroom.
Selection of participants, group discussions, working lunches and social activities all encourage dynamic exchange and knowledge sharing between colleagues from across different business sectors and backgrounds, and relationships and business contact networks made will last well beyond the classroom.
The benefits of the information technologies are harnessed to enable the sharing of resources and knowledge. And through analysing cases and experiences, discussions, group work and management simulations you will gain the confidence to assume full responsibility for your own learning needs and the development of your competencies.
Use of the Internet and the ESADE programme website put technology centre-stage in the learning experience of all their programmes. Through the programme’s own website, participants can access materials and other academic documents for classwork, with information technologies used to enhance opportunities for sharing resources and knowledge.
