- To foster the participation of private investors and business angels as key players in the start-up and growth of companies.
- To discover the aspects involved in the investment process of a business plan, with particular emphasis on the financial side.
- To encourage the potential business angels on the programme to network with each other.
- To encourage participating business angels to join existing networks, particularly ESADE BAN, the private investors network of the ESADE Entrepreneurship Institute, and to create their own networks.
- To monitor the participating private investors.
This programme is designed for businesspeople; executives who have the time, resources and network to consider BA opportunities; and others interested in investing in new projects, training as BAs, enhancing their existing skills, creating BA networks and understanding the process of investing in non-listed companies.
The programme takes place over three full days, with the participation of faculty members and experts from the private investment market.
The common thread of the programme is the cycle of investment into a non-listed company, from analysis to disinvestment.

The teaching methodology is based on lectures with a practical approach, in which participants are encouraged to actively take part in order to share their knowledge and interact with their colleagues. ESADE faculty members and speakers with entrepreneurial and investment experience will give the lectures.

One of the key aspects of this learning model is the input given by the participants themselves, who by sharing experiences will enrich the knowledge acquired both inside and outside the lecture room.

Throughout the programme, participants will receive in-depth material and handouts in order to successfully follow the programme and which will act as reference material throughout their time as a business angel.
