ESADE and the real estate company Unibail-Rodamco have strengthened their relationship through the signing of a cooperation agreement whereby Unibail-Rodamco Spain will join ESADE’s Assembly of Trustees. At the same time, the agreement creates the Unibail-Rodamco Scholarship, intended to provide future opportunities to talented young people who lack the necessary financial resources to study at ESADE.

The agreement was signed following years of partnering by the two organisations. Unibail-Rodamco Spain regularly attends the events organised by ESADE’s Career Services to allow ESADE students to learn more about the many professional development opportunities the company has to offer. As a result of this cooperation, many members of Unibail-Rodamco management are ESADE alumni.  The company has also collaborated on subjects for various programmes and participated in the Innovation Quest, proposing challenges for students designed to allow them to put their knowledge and skills into practice, applying them to real cases.

According to Eugenia Bieto, director general of ESADE, the agreement ‘is a major impetus for talented students, who come to ESADE to train and prepare themselves to hold management positions at organisations such as Unibail-Rodamco that contribute to economic development and job creation. Thanks to the real estate company’s commitment, those students will be able to make their dreams come true, regardless of their personal financial situation.’

Simon Orchard, Managing Director of Unibail-Rodamco Spain, noted, ‘At Unibail-Rodamco, we are always looking for the best and bravest professionals, people willing to transform the shopping centre industry. In this regard, we greatly appreciate the training ESADE provides in its classrooms, not only academically, but also in terms of skill development, thanks to which its students fit perfectly with our needs. That is why we have sought to strengthen the relationship we already had with ESADE through the creation of the Unibail-Rodamco Scholarship.’
