This recognition acknowledges Prof. Bisbe’s academic track record, expertise and contribution to the field of accounting and business research.

In his new role as an Editorial Board member, Prof. Bisbe will join a group of qualified academics from institutions around the globe to assess and provide advice on the journal’s review process as well as the quality of submitted manuscripts.

Accounting and Business Research publishes academic articles containing substantial and original contributions to knowledge aimed at understanding and developing the role of accounting in business. Papers may cover any area of accounting, including corporate governance, auditing and taxation.

All research articles in the journal undergo rigorous peer review based on initial editor screening and anonymous reviewing by at least two referees.

About Prof. Bisbe

Prof. Bisbe is a Professor in the Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting at ESADE Business School. His teaching and research interests include financial and management accounting systems, performance measurement systems and management control systems as instruments for the implementation of strategies. In particular, he is interested in the design and use of such systems in the context of healthcare organizations, professional organizations and innovative and knowledge-based firms.

On these topics, Prof. Bisbe has published several book chapters and articles in academic and professional journals, including Accounting Organizations and Society, European Accounting Review, Accounting and Business Research, Harvard-Deusto Business Review, Health Policy, Long Range Planning and Management Accounting Research. He has taught courses on these areas in international institutions such as the London School of Economics (LSE) and the National University of Ireland (NUI).
