ESADE brings its campus to 4YFN to share knowledge about robotics, artificial intelligence and entrepreneurship

This year, ESADE has consolidated its position as an academic partner of 4YFN. This pioneering initiative – the entrepreneurship fair’s only collaboration with an educational institution – was developed under the umbrella of ESADE’s Student First educational innovation model

ESADE Business & Law School has moved part of its campus to 4 Years From Now (4YFN), a leading entrepreneurship and digital innovation fair taking place within the framework of the Mobile World Congress (MWC). Students from various ESADE programmes will be on site for three days, attending classes and lectures on three major subjects: robotics, artificial intelligence and entrepreneurship.

At the 160 m² school with capacity for one hundred people, ESADE will give classes and lectures on topics such as marketing for entrepreneurs, visualisation of business information, digital business and finance for entrepreneurs.

ESADE has also scheduled a series of talks and gatherings that will be open to the public. At these events, billed as the “ESADE Speaker Series”, ESADE faculty and other high-profile speakers will share their knowledge of various topics, including blockchain (with ESADE MBA alumnus and co-founder Francisco Arechaga), eSports, big data (with ESADE alumnus and Made of Genes CEO Óscar Flores), e-commerce, and cybersecurity (with ESADE alumnus and Ackcent CEO Lluís Vera).

Educational innovation and entrepreneurship

In addition, to highlight the school’s latest educational innovation developments, ESADE will host a series of panel discussions on the future of education. One such discussion, entitled “Becoming an Infinite Learning Organisation”, will show that today’s organisations have no alternative but to learn systematically and “infinitely”. Another panel will give a demo of a robotised educational experience, featuring a Pepper robot acting as a teacher’s assistant.

In parallel, ESADE will present projects and initiatives developed by some of its most entrepreneurial alumni, who will discuss their experiences with startups such as Think.iT and B-wom. Other alumni-founded startups – including Hilo, Delhicioso!, Robin Data Hood, Carevitz and Matchfit – will also be featured.

On the main stage of 4YFN, ESADE will hold a panel discussion on artificial intelligence moderated by Prof. Luis Vives, Associate Dean of the Full-Time MBA and Associate Professor in the Department of Strategy and General Management at ESADE. Meanwhile, ESADE Alumni – the school’s alumni association – will be hosting a conversation between ESADE graduate Jacinto Roca, founder of, and ESADE Alumni Director Xavier Sánchez.
