ESADE Business & Law School has been recognised as one of Europe’s top three business schools at the 10th Eduniversal World Convention, held this weekend at the American University in Dubai (AUD). This recognition is based on the results of a study conducted by Eduniversal, a global university ranking agency, which surveyed more than a thousand deans from business schools around the world, with a response rate of more than 70%. ESADE was also recognised by the agency as one of the 100 global academic institutions with the best international reputation (5 “Palmes of Excellence”) in its league-based ranking system.

Josep Franch, Dean of ESADE Business School, collected the award on behalf of the school. “I am proud to represent ESADE,” he commented, “a global academic institution dedicated to education and research in the fields of management and law. Thanks to our commitment and constant focus on excellence, talent, innovation and social impact, ESADE has emerged as one of the world’s top schools.” He added: “We are very pleased to be recognised as one of the world’s leading education institutions at a meeting like the annual Eduniversal World Convention, which highlights the great wealth and diversity of higher education all over the world.”

Since 2008, the Eduniversal Annual Convention has brought together representatives of the academic institutions included in the ranking of the top thousand business schools and four thousand best master’s and MBA programmes compiled by the agency in 154 countries. At this strategic event, deans and directors of more than 80 nationalities come together to share ideas and discuss trends in the higher education sector and business schools in particular. “It is about serving the development of higher education by reinventing the modes of collaboration. The best European schools, with their creativity and richness of diversity, must show the way. They have the capacity and the energy to keep doing it”, commented Cécile Escape, director-general of Eduniversal. “The fundamental challenge of universities and business schools lies ultimately in knowing how to nurture and defend its difference and fully assume its social responsibility.”

“We are currently experiencing a period of major transformations resulting from the combined impact of globalisation and the technological evolution,” commented Dr. Franch. “Business schools must respond to the challenges and opportunities of the future, which include the ways in which artificial intelligence is poised to affect educational processes, the world of work, careers, the emergence of new players in the market and the need to transform our value proposition.” He concluded by noting that one of ESADE’s central commitments is to offer “an innovative, unique and transformational educational experience”.
