Digitalisation and the impact of artificial intelligence in education processes and workplaces are the main challenges currently facing business schools all over the world. This was the main conclusion of the panel discussion “Quo Vadis Management Education?”, moderated by Josep Franch, Dean of ESADE Business School, during the 52nd Annual Assembly of the Latin American Council of Management Schools (CLADEA), held this week in Riverside (California), with the theme “Breaking Paradigms: Anticipating the Future of Global Education”.

The discussion moderated by the ESADE dean featured the participation of Judy Olian, Dean of the UCLA Anderson School of Management; James G. Ellis, Dean of the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, and Jaime Alonso Gómez, Dean of the University of San Diego School of Business. During the discussion, the panellists – with a combined total of more than 40 years of experience – explored the various challenges that business schools all over the world are facing, and which are transforming the sector. In addition to digitalisation, these challenges include career changes, the emergence of new players in the market, and the need to transform the value proposition of business schools.

CLADEA brings together more than 270 business schools from Latin America, North American, Europe and Oceania. ESADE joined CLADEA in 1999 and hosted the organisation’s 50th anniversary celebration three years ago.
