Searching for Opportunities

Once you have analyzed what your personal skills are and the current market situation, defined your professional targets and created your marketing tools in order to change or find a job (CV, cover letter, etc.), it is time to find out where the professional opportunities lie that suit your interests.

As you must already have seen in "Step 4", the most efficient way to find interesting opportunities - although it also is the method that requires the greatest personal effort - is to use "Networking". This system, used with methodological rigour, allows you to access jobs that, otherwise, would be very hard to find, because your candidature can be caught up in one of the filters in each of the steps in any selection process.

In any case, parallel to the use of "Networking", the natural ways in which job offers appear publicly should not be underestimated. However, you should be aware that through these channels you will be competing with a large number of other candidates and that the only marketing tools you can use here are your CV and cover letter. Hence the importance of creating these tools with the utmost care.

You can access some of the following links via the menu in this section.

-Job offers database: Where companies collaborating with our school post their job offers, defining the profile they are looking for. You need to upload your CV onto this database in order to send it out when replying to any offers you may be interested in.

-MBA Webpages: These are websites specialized in searching for MBA students and graduates. You can register with them to apply for offers that may interest you and so that any companies accessing these sites can obtain your CV.

-Career Forums/Corporate Presentations: ESADE organizes different events for MBA students in order to provide them with access to invited companies and allow them to obtain information that may be of interest, hand over their CVs and/or arrange a job interview. These events, that will be announced via ESADE's usual channels, mainly consist of the FORUM for MBAs, Corporate Presentations and Presentations on specific companies and sectors.

-Headhunters: We provide you with a list of Headhunters and selection companies to which it would be advisable to sent your CV, since most of the offers for middle and top management posts are organized by these professionals.

-Job Websites: We present other public websites and information related to the search for job opportunities.
