Choosing a career
Choosing a career path is not always easy. For most people there is not one right occupation, but several occupations they could do and enjoy. Different occupations will satisfy you in different ways. Your career encompasses your entire working life, which can be made up of a wide range of occupations and involve many changes in direction.
Now that you have thought about yourself, you have decided what sort of lifestyle you want, and have talked to people and explored the job market, you are able to make informed choices. Your career decisions must be based on a good understanding of yourself, as well as a thorough knowledge of the occupations and options open to you.
In order to help you define your personal and professional objectives, Career Services offers students a career orientation interview with one of our careers advisors. You can find more information about defining your objectives and arranging to meet an advisor, by clicking on the options on the left.
