ESADE is a pioneering academic institution in Europe in programmes developing management skills.

In today’s economy, a good manager is a leader and a team member. Managing does not just mean delegating: managers must be able to assume their responsibilities as leaders. Acquiring new knowledge about growth and effective management is a must for today’s managers.

The Management Skill Development Programme has been designed by Richard Boyatzis, the co-author of Primal Leadership and director of the Organisational Behavior Department at the Weatherhead School of Management, Cleveland, in conjunction with the ESADE Department of Human Resources. Its aim is to equip participants with an understanding of their own style of learning. This is the starting point for a series of activities intended to develop the specific management skills required in marketing and commercialisation, along with new ways of integrating skills throughout their career and personal development. Attaining this degree of understanding and bolstering the necessary skills is essential in order to acquire assurance and confidence in decision-taking when facing the unceasing challenges posed by the market.

In addition to the Management Skill Development Programme, the master includes several Management Skill Seminars designed to boost crucial aspects for marketing and commercialisation managers.

MANAGEMENT SKILL SEMINARS

Management skills are of crucial importance in the career development of company managers. Whilst personal traits and experience are important in achieving high standards in these skills, certain techniques and methods play an undeniably decisive role in promoting them. Seminar participants will acquire practice that is applicable to the business setting and provide answers to these needs.

PRESENTATION TECHNIQUE SEMINAR
Having the best idea is no guarantee that it will be implemented. Even the best ideas can be wasted if suitable techniques are not used to present them persuasively in an informative manner, or if they are not put across with enthusiasm, and the right conviction and answers. This seminar enhances this type of skills: a must for project leaders.

NEGOTIATING TECHNIQUE SEMINAR
When a series of interests arise that could generate conflict between two or more people, negotiating skills are extremely important in handling and settling the conflict. This seminar aims to develop effective negotiating skills as a means of dealing with conflicts, and offers the techniques, strategies and tactics necessary for successful negotiating.
